hey, im 13 year old and i am in a long distance relationship, i came across this website on tumblr after searchin quotes for my bf who lives in another state. as ive been taught i prefer it if i was known as 'lilshawty' as im young and quite terrified of strangers and the stranger danger thing. i know 13 is young, i know its hard, but ive never felt like this before. we've talked every single night since February but officially went out on March 27. we havent had a serious fight which worries me, is it normal? he plans to come back and be with me in UNI, we plan on travelling to the commonwealth games in the gold coast in 2018. he randomly calls me at school, random txt throughout the day and always. always sends me a good morning beautiful text. is this just another stupid young love thing, does it have any chance. are we just too immature. ive never loved liked this before, its new, intriguing, heart wrenching, but beautiful. adults look down at us in pity and brush us off. will we last, i can only hope so.

Well, I don't. I met my boyfriend when I was 13 and now i'm 20. All I know is that you need to be careful. Have you seen him? speak to him? ect...If so then I think it's ok to be in love. I don't see any problem. Just try to meet in two yrs at least if it can be done sooner do it. If you and him are serious and really believe in your relationship you are going to last as long as you want. Have a nice day! Also thank you for joining.

I got involved with someone when i was 13 and he turned out to be a faker. As Danii has said, have you seen and spoken to him properly yet? (Even through Skype, just to prove that he is who he says he is).
I personally believe that people can love at whatever age but don't understand it until they are a bit older so you could be getting confused and mixed up. Wait and see for about a year or so and see if you both still feel the same way and if you can work things out. Be careful, however, as you are at an impressionable age and your mind will be all over the place (bloody hormones, haha) so think about it carefully and make sure that you don't meet him alone or before video calling, at least, with him for quite some time. Over the internet, you never know who you're getting involved with.
