I saw this a few weeks ago & thought it was a really cute & creative idea. Fortunately deployment will be over before Jimmy's birthday so I don't really have a use for this, but I wanted to share the idea since I loved it so much. All you need is a sponge (the kind you'd use to wash a car), some caulk, spraypaint, & cardboard. The best part is that you can actually send it in the mail by itself, you don't have to use a box or anything (it needs more postage than a letter though, obviously). Here's the full tutorial

That's pretty cool. Reminded me that there is actually a service where you can get bday cakes delivered and can get it there bang on their birthday. Really neat.

Yeah, I know there's a service called Bake Me A Wish that sends cakes & a lot of people use that to send to military members who are deployed. They're a bit expensive though.
