Matthew and I met Two years ago on World of Warcraft. Never did I imagine I'd be telling people I met the man I'm going to marry one summer day in a virtual Universe. Anyways, We started talking and I fell for him rather quickly, and within 10 days of first talking to him, I knew, this was more than just your typical flirty internet fling.
We didn't work out right away. I was just shy of 17 when we met, and he had just turned 19. His mom though it was a huge deal that I wasn't 18 yet so we kept our relationship on the down low. Eventually it got the best of him and we broke up. We started talking again a few months later and things where looking good until things started sucking again. He met someone new and we broke up again. I was heartbroken and I truly thought that would be the end of him and I.
Then My 18th birthday rolled around. We began talking seriously again. Flirting and laughing, and I was happy. Things started heating up about a month latter when we where talking about the future. I told him I couldn't see myself with anyone but him and if i had to I would leave Canada to be with him. That was the first day, in over a year he told me He loved me, and I knew from that day on I'd have him forever. A few days later He finally officially asked me to be his girlfriend and we've been together ever since.
3 Months after gaining official girlfriend status, I took my first trip down to Georgia on my Spring break. I flew from Vancouver to Savannah and Finally after waiting a year and a half, Met the boy who had me wrapped around his finger since day one. I spent a week with him, Laughing, watching movies, metting his parents, playing games before Leaving to return back to Canada. Leaving him was one of the hardest things I've had to do and I cried the entire duration of my first flight.
I had not planned to see him again until september but after being with him in person, I knew i couldn't wait that long and I booked a flight to visit him In North Carolina durring his summer co-op. It was June, 3 months since I had seen him last, and it was a breath of fresh air to be alone with him, with no parents. It felt like a test run of our future and it made me excited to finally move in with him.
I am going to see him again on September 15. I will be flying 4,538 km (2819 miles) to Atlanta to visit him in school. I am beyond excited to see him again but I am quite sad knowing that after this trip I wont be with him again until I am done and Graduated from my Graphic design program.
I know that we will make it to see the day when Distance is no longer and obstacle and I cant wait!!
